From an Idea to a Mission: The Cloud Project Featured in VoyageLA
Every meaningful project starts somewhere. For The Cloud Project, it started with a simple idea: create something that could bring comfort, raise awareness, and help protect children. What began as an idea has continued to grow into something much bigger than I originally imagined.
Recently, I was honored to have my story and The Cloud Project featured by VoyageLA in an interview titled Meet Alejandro of The Cloud Project. Being featured was an exciting milestone, but more than anything, it gave me the opportunity to share the story behind the brand and explain why The Cloud Project exists.
The Story Behind The Cloud Project
The Cloud Project was created around a simple belief: even after difficult seasons, brighter skies are possible.
The cloud became our symbol because it can represent so many different things. Sometimes clouds represent uncertainty or difficult days. But they can also remind us that the sun is still there, even when we can't see it. That idea became the foundation of The Cloud Project and continues to influence everything we create.
From the beginning, I wanted The Cloud Project to be about more than simply selling products. I wanted to create something that could bring comfort into people's everyday lives while also creating opportunities to raise awareness and support a meaningful cause.

Building a Business With Purpose
Starting a business is challenging. Building one around a mission comes with its own set of challenges.
There is always a balance between creating products people genuinely want and making sure the purpose behind those products remains at the center of the brand. I never want someone to purchase something from The Cloud Project simply because they feel obligated to support our mission. I want them to see something they love, something that makes them smile, and something they would genuinely want to own.
Then, when they learn that their purchase also helps support our mission, that product becomes part of something bigger.
That's what makes The Cloud Project so meaningful to me. A plush can become a source of comfort. A keychain can become a small reminder carried everywhere. A tote can carry someone's everyday essentials while also carrying a message of hope. A beanie can allow someone to wear their support for the mission.
The products are important, but the meaning behind them is what truly matters.
Why the VoyageLA Feature Means So Much
Being featured by VoyageLA gave us an opportunity to introduce The Cloud Project to people who may have never heard of us before. More importantly, it gave us a chance to share the story behind the brand and the person behind the mission.
As a small business, moments like this mean a lot. Building something from the ground up can sometimes feel like you're working quietly behind the scenes, wondering whether people are noticing or connecting with what you're trying to create.
Having someone take the time to learn about that journey and share it with others is incredibly encouraging.
I'm grateful to VoyageLA for taking the time to learn about The Cloud Project, our mission, and why this work matters to me. If you'd like to learn more about how The Cloud Project started and the journey behind the brand, you can read the full interview, Meet Alejandro of The Cloud Project, on VoyageLA.

What's Next for The Cloud Project?
We're still just getting started.
There are more products to create, more stories to share, more people to reach, and more ways to continue growing the mission. As The Cloud Project grows, I want to make sure we never lose sight of why it started in the first place.
I want The Cloud Project to continue creating things that bring comfort, starting conversations, raising awareness, and supporting children and survivors. I want the cloud to remain a reminder that difficult seasons don't last forever and that brighter skies are always possible.
This feature is one more milestone in our journey, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped The Cloud Project get to this point. Whether you've purchased something, followed us online, shared our story, or simply taken the time to learn about our mission, you're part of this journey.
Small actions can create meaningful change when enough people choose to take them.
Together, we can clear the skies.
One cloud at a time.
